.rar files are not videos. They re archives like. zip files. You can store one or more files in them and shrink it. As for extracting the contents you can use WinRAR or WinAce. I see you only have three parts, so the odds of recovery are low. Generally you need all the parts to reconstruct the whole archive.

All you have to do is go to download.com, under search, type. rar converter, it will list 5-9 different decoder/converter, the 1st 3 are easy to use, simply open the program, drag the file and click extract, set the path that you want your files to be extracted into, and complete the job.
you should only need to attempt the extraction on . part1.rar, and make sure all the parts in the same folder, it will find the rest of the files needed for reconstructing the file on its own. WinRAR that is anyway.

UNDERSTANDING COMPRESSED ARCHIVES
Compressed archives are often used for transferring large or large sets of files across the internet. These include mainly zip and rar files. Other formats and file extensions you may come across include, among lesser known formats, 7z 7zip format; see details of the program below and tar also a program. These files are basically folders which contain compressed data so that the file size is not as large as the original file. This is why you can browse zip files like a normal folder if your computer supports it.
These are archives which have been split apart for transfer, often the case with movie where free file hosting sites may only allow for 100mb s per file.
7zip, in my opinion, is the best free unpacker for zip, rar etc for windows. It s very easy to unpack files without opening the main program:
1. Right click on the archive and whilst holding right click drag it to the place eg onto your desktop where you wish to unpack it to.
2. When the pop up menu comes up you select 7zip Extract Here or. .to archive-name.
3. A progress box will automatically pop up to show progress and will disappear once the extraction has completed.
4. Enjoy your downloaded file s.

So, when you open it as a video, the video itself says it can only be played in Windows Media Player.
The thing you have downloaded is not the video you expected - It s the video that just says that it has to be played in Windows Media Player.

Hola maru, paso a explicarte: El video esta ddiviido en 20 partes, una vez tengas esas 20 partes en tu pc lo unico que debes hacer es darle un click derecho al primer archivo RH-IR-FTB.part01 y escoger la opcif3n extraer aqui y empezara la extraccion del video. Cuando tu mencionas que todos son iguales quizas es porque abriste archivo por archivo y viste el mismo archivo en cada uno, esto es porque como te mencione antes el video esta ddiviido en 20 partes.
